RHIM Daily Devotional 10 May 2020 – Wisdom For Survival Strategies In Adversity [II]

11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

12 The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

BELOVED HEAR THIS

Blessing the name of God at all times is the greatest thing for you to do in any adverse situation you find yourself, bless His name when the going is smooth and when it is rough. David said “I will bless the Lord at all time”. When you bless Him at all time, He will be forced to move in your direction.

God placed some people in our lives for some reasons, some are there for just a while and some are there to be with you forever, they will always be there for you, they will stay with you throughout your life time no matter the situation or challenges you are going through, they are always ready to stand by you.

Ruth, even in her adverse situation displayed a unique wisdom by following Naomi (her mother in- law) wherever she went, she never allowed what happened to her to blindfold her of the promises of God for her life, even in that adversity she decided to follow the right path. Orpah on the other hand left Naomi but Ruth cleaved unto her.

The Lord recompensed Ruth, she found favour in the sight of Boaz, what she lost was restored back to her. Orpah, till date has not been heard of.

You need the wisdom of God to handle any situation you find yourself, who you chose to follow when in adversity and who you listen to matters. Choose wisely who you follow!
