Topic: UNDERSTANDING HOW TO PROVOKE FAVOUR [I]
Scripture: Proverbs 11:25-27
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
BELOVED HEAR THIS
When we say how to provoke your favour, it means what you can do that can give rise to or stir up your favour. We shall be discussing few of those things you can do to provoke your favour.
These includes :
1. Sensitivity: You can provoke your favour by being sensitive to pick divine signal, to know the time and season for you to be favoured, [2Kings 4:8-9] the woman perceived that Elisha was a man of God and she took the necessary steps and actions that made her receive favour.
Sensitivity is very key, she was sensitive enough to perceive who Elisha was. Her sensitivity and her action prompted the heart of the man of God towards her that compelled her favour and blessing.
May God give you grace to be sensitive to pick divine signal in Jesus Name
2. Hospitality: Hospitality is the heart of kindness and love towards God and man. “People will not know how much you know until they know how much you care”
Abraham was hospitable, he showed heart of kindness. He never acted strange to those angels that visited him, he didn’t chase them away when he saw them, he opened his heart and gladly received them without knowing who they were. Hospitality is key to provoke favour. If he had driven them away, he would have missed the generational blessings. Genesis 18:1-18
3: Act of Giving: Proverbs 11:25.
Attitude of giving is key to secure favour unlimited. The Spirit of God is a giving spirit and anything that says you should not give, is not the Spirit of God.
Let your giving be en-rooted by your willingness, God loves a willing and a cheerful Giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7, don’t give grudgingly, God will not accept any offering from a grudging heart.
Abraham gave to God and secured eternal blessings form God.
Your giving is one of your fundamental keys to provoke your favour, if what you are giving does not come from your heart, you cannot provoke your favour. Until your giving exceeds yourself and your family, you haven’t started, GIVE WITHOUT RESERVATION.
