RHIM Daily Devotional 27 July 2021 – God The Great Restorer [III]

Things that need restoration are things that have over time been neglected, damaged and abandoned.

Restoration in general terms refers to an act of bringing something back to it’s original state, while the biblical definition of restoration means bringing something into a state where it would be even better than the original.

The story of Job tells us clearly how God restored him and he became more better than his original state. Job 42:12 says, So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.

You can be restored completely if you can pass the test of life. God tested Job and he passed it. Job still remained faithful to God even when his wife, friends and relatives tried to make him see reasons he should curse God and die. He was upright and just before God and God blessed him immensely. So many people easily deny the Name of God when it comes to having challenges or faced with difficulties in life or ministry. Turning your back against God or the man of God over you can never make you better.

Job 2:9, Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. 10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
