14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
What the Holy Spirit does is to first and foremost lead us to Jesus. It is only the Holy Spirit who can convince a man, change the heart of a man to turn to Christ.
He leads us to Christ so that we can receive Him as our personal Saviour.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name
It is your receiving Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit that gives you power to become the son of God.
He does not force anyone to receive Christ, He gently leads us and convince us.
Rom 8:14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. It is the Holy Spirit that can lead you to become a child of God, He leads you into God’s family.
The Holy Spirit also helps us to address issues. There are many times the Holy Spirit brings thoughts and scriptures to my mind that I never planned to use when I am either worshipping God or when preaching. Once He brings scriptures or thoughts to me, it means He want to address issues, it means He wants to take over the service. There are times when am praying for people, the Holy Spirit will stand beside me and be telling me their cases.
I was ministering to a man last month, May 2021 and the Holy Spirit stood beside me and He began to tell me everything that has happened to the man, unknown to me that he was the husband to one of my church members, the woman said, the man is her husband. I saw the woman was crying profusely, she and her husband confirmed everything I said was true. It is the Holy Spirit who can tell you hidden secrets unknown to men.
1Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
The Holy Spirit can open up your past record and begin to unfold them before you. If He is going into your past, it means He want to help you amend your future so that your past will not be a blockage to your glorious future.
