RHIM Daily Devotional 5 May 2020 – Confronting Your Adversity [II]

34. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock.

35. And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

36. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

BELOVED HEAR THIS

David displayed unique wisdom, he talked and turned to another who is supernatural. He transferred the battle to the host of heaven and he invited the heavens to take over the battle.

He understood the method and approach, he saw opportunity in adversity, he supplied testimony of the past, how he defeated the lion and the bear and that made it easier for him to defeat Goliath without stress.

[Revelation 12:11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Testimony is also a weapon in the place of adversity. Never you forget your testimony of glory when confronting adversity.

If you don’t carry your dream, people will not carry it for you. David’s brother couldn’t present David to the king because they were not seeing him as a champion, your relatives may not see the champion or the celebrity in you, they may be seeing you as a nonentity, never let that weigh you down.

You must know what you want inspite of what is happening around you. For you to come out of adversity, you must see the end from the beginning, if you can’t see the end you can’t arrive there. David saw the end from the beginning, he had already seen Goliath defeated just like the lion and the bear.
