Topic: QUALIFICATIONS FOR GREATNESS
Scripture: Genesis 22:17-18
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
BELOVED HEAR THIS
As believers and seeds of Abraham, we carry within us the seed of Greatness. However, so many believers still remain in a pitiful state of existence. Greatness is an exposition of the power of God, who takes the poor from the dust and the beggar from the dunghill and sets them among the greats. *1Samuel 2:8*
To be great is the will of God for His children. Our God is a great God, therefore all His children must be great, the child of a lion is a lion. God promised to make Abraham great and all his seeds are blessed.
Here are some qualifications that can make you great;
▪️ You must be holy: Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord, it is therefore impossible to be great in the sight of the Lord when you can’t even see Him. Hebrews 12:14.
▪️ You must be a yielding and a willing vessel that will always obey instructions Isaiah 1:19
▪️ You must be filled with the Holy Spirit Zechariah 4:6: Greatness is not by power or might, not even by your effort, but by the Spirit of the Lord.
▪️ Winning souls: You must love to win souls to God if you want to enjoy His greatness. Be willing to turn many back from unrighteousness to the righteous God. Winning of souls should be your primary concern. Anyone who is going to be great in the sight of God must be a soul winner.
