Topic: HOW TO SUSTAIN YOUR FAVOUR IN THIS SECOND HALF [II]
Scripture: Colossians 3:23-25
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
BELOVED HEAR THIS
In our yesterday’s devotional, we discussed about what you can do in order to maintain and sustain the favour you have been enjoying from God and man especially in this trying period where things seems not to be too “OK or easy” for some people.
We shall continue today by discussing more on what you can do in this second half so that you will not lose what you have been enjoying.
HOW TO SUSTAIN YOUR FAVOUR IN THIS SECOND HALF
4. Always Say The Truth:
Psalms 51:6, Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. The truth you don’t apply can’t set you free, John 8:32. If you don’t apply the truth, you will keep yourself in bondage and prevent further flow of favour. Always say the truth wherever you find yourself, avoid lies, whether white or black or whatever name it is called, avoid any sort of lies, it can jeopardize your chances of getting favour or help.
In that office where you work, don’t try to play smartness or wisdom by turning things upside down with your so called smartness, by telling lies. A lot of people are out of jobs, marriages, some are even out of ministries due to one lie or the other they never thought can terminate their marriage or job. If you told lies throughout the first half, this second phase, live a new life in Christ Jesus, let the old life of lying die and let Jesus the truth and the life come alive in you.
5. Be diligent, Hardworking and Committed to Your Job:
Psalms 90:17.. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (ESV).
Whatever God has placed in your hands, please don’t take it with levity, don’t joke with it, your hardworking and commitment can take you far to places you never expected, see what the Bible says in Proverbs 22:29, do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. (ESV).
There is no way a lazy man or an idle man can stand before kings or great people because he will have nothing to offer than being tagged a mediocre. A diligent man is always proud to associate with people because more doors and favour will be opened for him.
#QuoteMeRight: It is your responsibility to be diligent and committed, it is what you are committed and faithful to, that God will commit to your hands
